Acheson Doyle Partners designed this multi-million dollar addition to the Fordham Preparatory School on the campus of Fordham University and adjacent to the New York Botanical Garden in Bronx, NY. The 21,600 sf facility includes a 1080-seat theater, an underground gymnasium, a telecommunications center with a production studio, classrooms, and a faculty lounge. A double height exhibition concourse has been named “The Hall of Honor.” The Hall is a shared lobby and entrance to the theater and gymnasium. The theater features a wrap around balcony, proscenium stage, and fly loft, as well as state of the art sound and lighting systems. Directly below the theater is the regulation size intramural gymnasium.
