The Sheen Center

Acheson Doyle Partners led renovation efforts for this 28,000 sf, 5-story building that was originally a school and rectory. Located in New York City’s landmark NoHo district, The Sheen Center now functions as a cultural arts center for the Archdiocese of New York. Transforming the building into a contemporary multipurpose facility, ADP created new theater spaces; a gallery; multi-function rooms; guest rooms; communal spaces and administrative offices. A traditional auditorium/theater and a Black Box theater were designed for flexible programming; both feature state-of-the-art audiovisual and lighting systems. Exterior renovation included a new marquee marking the entrance to the auditorium, masonry repairs, and new windows and doors.
