St. Ignatius Loyola Church

St. Ignatius Loyola Church, a NYC Landmark and National Register of Historic Places site, partnered with Acheson Doyle Partners Architects since 2016 to complete multiple architecture and planning projects. ADP completed an initial conditions assessment that informed several major capital improvement campaigns. Thereafter, ADP orchestrated the exterior restoration of the Day Nursery, the renovation of the choir loft, and the exterior restoration of the Loyola School. Subsequent and ongoing architectural work included the exterior rehabilitation of the Church, infrastructure and communications upgrades, and a holistic suite of Accessibility and Life Safety projects that created elegant connections across the St. Ignatius campus. Selected interior upgrades included new lighting; installation of an audio-visual system; replacement of the organ; and artwork restoration in the nave of the Church.

The Church’s capital campaign is expected to proceed with a complete restoration of the historic exterior stone masonry facades beginning in Spring 2023.
