Loyola University, Nigeria
For this Jesuit College in Nigeria, Acheson Doyle Partners served as the master planners. With the college’s new administration, ADP developed a detailed program for the 28.5 hectare (50.7 acres) complex that resulted in the fast-track construction of over twenty buildings. Design guidelines and a site plan were set up for the Nigeria-based architects and engineers for the academic, residential, maintenance, and vehicle storage components of the school. ADP participated from the inception to the review of the completed campus. The school, which opened in 1996, serves 600 students from all over Nigeria. It is located in Abuja, which was designed in the late 1980s as the new capital of the country.
