Acheson Doyle Partners has provided full scope architectural services since 1987 to The Sherry-Netherland Hotel, a luxury hotel and residence located off Central Park in Manhattan. ADP revitalized multiple interior public spaces, including lobby, hallways and fitness center, and integrated major building infrastructure upgrades, including elevator modernization, mechanical, electrical and life safety systems, all while preserving the old-world charm of the hotel. ADP helped formulate the hotel guest room standards and has supervised the design and decoration of numerous guest rooms and private apartments. Two retail establishments – A La Vieille Russie (art and antique dealers) and Emile Salon Barbershop – were designed by ADP and the firm provides consulting and oversight to all the commercial tenants, including Doubles Club, Domenico Vacca Store, Ghurka Store, Beauty Salon, and the Harry Cipriani Restaurant. The firm refurbished the 2-story storefront façades, restoring the original design intent from 1927 historical reference documents, to the approval of the NYC Landmarks Preservation Commission.
