In 2008 Acheson Doyle completed an expansion and interior alterations of the Convent Building located on the northern edge of the College of Mt. St. Vincent. This complex serves as a retirement facility for elderly nuns of the order who originally founded the college in the 1800s. The community complex consists of an historic wing to the Administration Building and a more recently built structure. Total square footage is 56,000 sf distributed amongst the 6 floors. Scope of work included upgrading of the nuns apartments as well as introducing assisted living rooms and related medical facilities on the ground floor. Other spaces include new kitchen and dinning facility, worship spaces, lounge rooms, physical therapy amenities, circulation spaces, and a penthouse gathering level.
