St. Ignatius Loyola Church
Acheson Doyle Partners completed multiple projects for the Parish of St. Ignatius Loyola for their properties designated on the National Register of Historic Places. These include the exterior restoration of the Day Nursery building in 1991 and the Grammar School in 2003. And in 2004, the Church building itself underwent exterior restoration, along with selected infrastructure and interior upgrades. Exterior work on the Church building included a new copper roof, cleaning and repointing of the limestone masonry façade, and sidewalk replacement. Interior upgrades featured the sensitive integration of new lighting and audio-visual systems, and a restoration of the nave and murals. The Church choir loft was renovated and the organ replaced. The restoration received a 2005 award from the Friends of the Upper East Side.
