The Greenwich Country Club
In 2010 the Country Club engaged Acheson Doyle Partners to renovate the guestrooms in its clubhouse. The program called for an update to the guestrooms that reflected modernity and retained the club’s sense of tradition and history. ADP brought the two requirements together in a hybrid of contemporary design and old-world character that was extended to include an upstairs corridor and a fire-protected enclosure for the main interior staircase. Work began in January of 2011 and was completed in time for the 2012 summer. Elspeth Knox served as an Interior Designer for the Guestroom Project. In 2012, ADP was further engaged by the Club to investigate master-planning options for amenity spaces, staff housing, as well as to prepare schematic proposals for the renovation of an existing bar area and for the adaptation of an overflow dining room into a new social lounge.
