Sector: Residential
Location: Salisbury, CT
Scope: Architectural Design and Planning
Project Type: Residential Design
Status: Completed

This Litchfield County private home is set in the foothills of the Taconic Mountains in Connecticut. The project includes a residence with guesthouse, barn, swimming pool, tennis court, and various gardens. The house includes a large library and home theater. Main living areas and bedrooms take advantage of views to the Taconic and Berkshire Mountains, as well as the Housatonic River Valley.

The project is located on 460 acres of land of which 18 acres were extensively re-graded, redeveloped and landscaped for roads, gardens and buildings. The design includes the main farmhouse, the property manager’s house, a renovated barn, and an eight-truck vehicle barn. The mechanical and electrical infrastructure were incorporated into the site and landscaped to minimize their visual impact to the natural hillside.

Architect: Acheson Doyle Partners Architects.
