We are a New York City-based architectural practice with a legacy of restoring elegance and refining the future.
Our Sectors
The architecture of comfort has a rich history, and one we take seriously at Acheson Doyle Partners Architects. From leading a gut interior renovation of the luxurious Ritz-Carlton Central Park, to designing a graceful rooftop addition to the historic Metropolitan Club, to restoring the extraordinary fresco at the Sherry-Netherland Hotel, we take great care in designing thoughtful and aesthetic solutions for New York City’s most renowned hotels and private clubs. We invite you to take a comfortable seat and experience our hospitality design projects.
From interior renovations to ground-up construction, Acheson Doyle Partners Architects works hand-in-hand with clients to make them feel distinctly at home. From renovating luxury residential units in high-rises such as 432 Park Avenue to designing elegant Cape Cod and Connecticut country homes, our clients trust us to bring their residential ideas to life in a graceful and timeless manner.
We work with best-in-class artisans and conservationists to merge highly revered historic building techniques with current, state-of-the-art technologies to restore, renovate and provide historically-sensitive interventions for Manhattan’s most renowned cultural institutions, private clubs, residential high-rises and places of worship.
Historic preservation plays a pivotal role in many of our sacred design projects, whether it involves exploring 200-year-old catacombs underneath St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral, continuing the century-old language of limestone and copper at St. Ignatius Loyola Church or restoring the terracotta dome at St. Bartholomew’s Church on Park Avenue. We take pride in advocating for extraordinary craftsmanship and undertaking meticulous restorations for our faith-based clients.
New York City houses some of the world’s most venerated cultural and educational institutions. ADP Architects has had the pleasure of assisting these acclaimed institutions in the design, planning, preservation and protection of their built assets. From designing a storage facility for a museum to house precious cultural artifacts to designing a LEED Platinum-certified modular Welcome Center on Liberty Island, we approach every institutional project with a rigorous and collaborative design process, a historically-sensitive design aesthetic, a celebration of details, robust acoustic considerations and utmost care.
Creating spaces for learning requires a hands-on, thoughtful approach to architectural design, programming and master planning. Schools trust us to design spaces that are at once lively, safe and conducive to learning. Our experience in historic preservation, hospitality and sacred space design allows us to approach an education project’s needs with exceptional care, empathy and attention to detail, whether it involves public or private in K-12 schools or institutions of higher education. Our office is especially adept at accommodating sensitive capital planning, life safety, accessibility, adaptability and acoustic considerations.

ADP Architects is a Lucy G. Moses Preservation Award-winning architectural firm with a 40-year legacy of restoring iconic buildings in the city of New York.
Our work has been essential in preserving New York’s historic urban fabric, from reviving One Wall Street to evoke its vibrant Art Deco heyday and restoring the Metropolitan Club’s sparkling Tuckahoe Marble façade to painstakingly putting each of the 6,300 pieces of the terracotta dome at St. Bartholomew’s Church back together.
